Learning Disability and Autism Commissioners Network Conference 2026

ENDING INSTITUTIONAL CARE

July

02

Bristol

St Michael's Centre

Bristol BS34 8PD

A one-day, solutions-focused conference bringing together commissioners, people with lived experience, providers, and system leaders to address one clear challenge: How we move away from institutional models and towards neighbourhood-based, person-led support.

This conference creates a practical, values-led space for commissioners and partners to explore what it really takes to reduce, and ultimately end, the use of institutional settings.

What to Expect:

Inspirational keynote speakers

Practical models you can apply in your local area

Connections with peers working towards the same goal

Conference Programme

Keynote sessions will cover commissioning for change, housing solutions, lived experience leadership, Individual Service Funds, wraparound support, technology and choice, and practical examples of community-based support in action. The full conference programme will be published soon.
